Reading & listening
Notes open in a clean reading view with readable typography and heading navigation. Text-to-speech lets you listen to your writing. Voice options depend on your device and settings; optional cloud voices require provider credentials and connectivity.
Lists & organization
Use Markdown checkboxes for tasks and checklists. Folders and tags organize your collection, pins keep useful notes nearby, and optional snooze hides notes until a chosen time. You do not need to build a custom workspace to start writing.
Snooze is a way to resurface notes, not a promise of a push notification or an alarm.
Installable web app
Notations is a progressive web app (PWA). In a supported browser, use its install or add-to-home-screen option to keep the notebook alongside your other apps. Availability and the exact steps vary by browser and operating system.
This is the web app installed on your device, not a separate native app. Initial sign-in and synchronization need a connection. Follow the offline setup guide.
AI is optional
Write, read, organize, and search by keyword without an AI connection. When you want assistance, you can connect a compatible assistant or add a supported provider key.
